National Women’s Enterprise Day 2024


Inspiring event and speakers at National Women’s Enterprise Day yesterday! Thanks LEO Dublin City for a great day 😊 Over 300 inspiring female entrepreneurs gathered in Fingal yesterday for the annual National Women’s Enterprise Day (NWED) event. Hosted by Local Enterprise Office Fingal on behalf of the four Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) in Dublin, the regional event showcased the vibrant and growing community of women-led businesses in Ireland.

Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail Emer Higgins opened the event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blanchardstown. In her keynote address, Minister Higgins highlighted the significant contributions of female entrepreneurs to the Irish economy and emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting their growth and success.

Luvin Letters in Design Conference

Great to attend the recent Dublin design event Luvin Letters In Design – for Typography & Lettering lovers, which ran over the 4th and 5th October in the Complex Arts Centre, Dublin 1.

There was an inspiring line up of speakers and some live mural painting with artists Theosone (Berlin), Milen Balbuzanov (Bulgaria), Horhay Design (Spain) and Calligrafreaks (Berlin).

Sow’s Ear Culture Night Art Exhibition

‘Holding Space‘ Sow’s Ear Art Collective: Culture Night 2024 Exhibition

It was great to be part of Holding Space, the inaugural exhibition of The Sow’s Ear Art Collective, which took place as part of Culture Night 2024, Friday, 20th September, at Bayside Community Centre. This special event marked the beginning of an exciting journey for our collective, bringing together a diverse range of artistic voices in a shared creative space.

The exhibition was a celebration of expression, connection, and the power of art to transform and engage. It was incredible to showcase my work alongside such talented artists, each offering a unique perspective that contributed to the rich tapestry of the evening.

A huge thank you to our generous supporters, Hope Beer Dublin and Zaira.ie, for helping make the night a success.

I love being part of this art collective group, it’s great to be around these other inspiring, friendly and supportive creatives and see all the various different types of mediums of art that they create. For those who attended – thank you for being part of this memorable night! And if you missed it, stay tuned for more exhibitions and projects from the Sow’s Ear Art Collective.

Tara Gartlan Chocolate – Brownies Packaging Design

New packaging design of the boxes we designed for Tara Gartlan Chocolate which they will use for shipping their gluten free Brown Butter cakes and Salted Caramel Brownies. These are a new addition to the Tara Gartlan Chocolate range, handmade in Carrickmacross by Michelin star pastry chef, Tara Gartlan.

The beautiful boxes are consistent with the brand style we established when creating the brand packaging design for the bonbons boxes and Easter egg boxes. The brand logo and social media details are showcased prominently to build easy brand recognition and to continue to grow their online audience and social media engagement. The gold-detailed curvy lines take cues from the free-flowing way that chocolate is poured and the natural flowing lines in nature, as many of the ingredients are grown locally, guaranteeing the most fragrant flavours.

Dublin Art Book Fair 2023: Polyphonic

It’s great to see the book Hello Hinterland featured as part of Dublin Art Book Fair 2023: Polyphonic curated by Wendy Erskine. Hello Hinterland is a collection of illustrated stories and poetry celebrating the culture and heritage of Fingal County on the east coast of Ireland, written by Martin Holohan, and illustrated and designed by Clare Lynch Creative.

Polyphonic, launched on 7th December 2023, runs in Temple Bar Gallery + Studios from 8 December – 17 December 2023. Dublin Art Book Fair, Ireland’s leading art book fair and centre for artist books presents its thirteen edition. Taking place in Temple Bar Gallery + Studios over ten days, DABF champions small, creative and independent publishers, and both Irish and international artist books. Within this mix, over 500 newly published and unusual publications on art, design, visual culture, philosophy, architecture, select fiction and poetry will feature alongside a special selection of nominated books by Guest Curator Wendy Erskine.

Wendy Erskine’s theme Polyphonic, is celebrated further through a programme of talks, readings, workshops, book events and participatory events. Interested in the innumerable viewpoints, stories or perspectives that can originate from single source, Erskine’s theme, Polyphonic celebrates the creation of artwork that brings multiple voices together.
