Paris Packaging Week 2025

Great to visit Paris Packaging Week 2025 recently.

There was so much inspiration with beautiful work and the process to creating it showcased, along with interesting topics discussed, such as sustainability in packaging design, exploring new materials such as paper bottles for drinks, adapting to change – such as a world where AI is impacting everything and what it’s role is in the design industry, the key to building strong brands, current packaging design trends, thinking big and thinking differently with brand strategy and innovation, and how to work effectively to be most creative and productive, whilst maintaining a healthy work to life balance and staying creatively inspired.

A big thank you to Paris Packaging Week and PENTAWARDS for a brilliant few days and line-up of speakers.

Bounce Design Event

It was great to attend the new design event, BOUNCE, run by the IDI (Irish Design Network). The event ran over January 9th – 10th 2025, at Trinity College Dublin. This two-day event, crafted by the design community for the community, offered fresh, critical perspectives on the design process, giving designers a unique opportunity to explore, engage, and be inspired.

Since the previously run Dublin-based design festival Offset ceased – creatives have missed design conferences like this, as an opportunity to network and stay inspired with the latest projects happening in all areas of design worldwide, so this was a great step towards a positive resurgence of design inspiration and events in Dublin.

Thanks to the Favourite Design blog for the feature of our Brand Packaging Design project for The Tasting Vault Whiskey Tasting Subscription Services on their website, Instagram and Facebook pages. The Tasting Vault is a whiskey and spirits subscription service that provides consumers with curated tasting experiences, allowing them to explore a wide range of premium whiskeys from around the world. The company solves the ‘try before you buy’ challenge by offering tasting packs that let customers sample new and famous whiskeys before committing to full bottles.

Tara Gartlan Chocolate – Brownies Packaging Design

New packaging design of the boxes we designed for Tara Gartlan Chocolate which they will use for shipping their gluten free Brown Butter cakes and Salted Caramel Brownies. These are a new addition to the Tara Gartlan Chocolate range, handmade in Carrickmacross by Michelin star pastry chef, Tara Gartlan.

The beautiful boxes are consistent with the brand style we established when creating the brand packaging design for the bonbons boxes and Easter egg boxes. The brand logo and social media details are showcased prominently to build easy brand recognition and to continue to grow their online audience and social media engagement. The gold-detailed curvy lines take cues from the free-flowing way that chocolate is poured and the natural flowing lines in nature, as many of the ingredients are grown locally, guaranteeing the most fragrant flavours.

We are loving how well the brand packaging design of the Katie’s Kombucha range translated from the original glass bottles to these lovely slim cans. They are now available in both the bottles and cans in three tasty flavours.

Showcasing the Packaging Design of these beautiful Easter Eggs which are a great addition to the Tara Gartlan Chocolate range, handmade in Carrickmacross by Michelin star pastry chef, Tara Gartlan.

IDA Awards Winner 2021

Excited to hear I will be receiving an Honourable Mention Award in the International Design Awards for several of my recent Brand Identity and Packaging Design projects, including Katie’s Kombucha, A Good Mood Food, Saltrock Dairy and Oat in the City. A great start to the New Year!
